It's been a drastic change in how cities look in Japan with the booming number of foreign tourists in recent past years. I've witnessed it here in Kyoto, the ancient Capital, the must-visit destination. One day I wondered how family travelers handle planning, packing baby/kids supplies, and finding kids-friendly restaurants (even locals have a hard time finding one!) as even visiting my family in southern Japan for me has never been easy since my son was born in 2021.

As parents, giving our children opportunities to see the world is a shared passion, and the experience and memories we make for them are a gift to the next generation.
My mission with Porch is to support family travelers with both my experience in tourism and parenting. Also, connecting travelers and locals to make an opportunity to learn from each other. Let me take care of the rest and make your family trip unforgettable.
